Kottonmouth Kings

Daddy X here chilin in Southern Cali. It’s mid summer and we are in the thick of recording the “GREEN ALBUM” our 10th studio full length. We really wanted to make a statement about who we are, what we are about and the kind of impact we wanted to leave as our legacy.

We have been thinking Green our whole life and it seems as though the rest of the world is finally catching up…which of course we are stoked about any awareness and rise of consciousness. It is shocking that it takes disasters, wars and a recession to wake up.

We are going to be donating a % of every record sold/downloaded to a variety of non profit agencies. We are also going to be producing a “Think Green” line of merch that will contribute to the same organizations. We are trying to do our part and are offering you the opportunity to do yours.

We know that as artists, we need to lead the way by example and that we have such a unique and amazing community built around Sub Noize and The Kings that we can paint the White House Green!

Over the years we have all shared so many amazing times together and we hope to continue on into the future. Since no one is guaranteed tomorrow, we need to take action today.

Musically we have really dived deeper than we have before. We are pushing ourselves to higher levels and started digging into this record 4 months. To date, we have close to 100 songs to choose from. We have some earth shaking bangers, “Rock Like This,” “Green Grass,” “Don’t Give A Fuck,” and a few songs that should disturb the peace and some stoney, mellow, outlaw riding cuts that will bring the peace.

Lyrically we have written some freedom songs of truth and inspiration “Stand,” “Free World,” “Pack Your Bowls,” “High Hopes” and “Super Hero” to name a few.

Tech N9ne dropped by the studio and we did a track called “Sex Toy” which is sure to be an instant classic. We also have some Pink Floyd hip hop shit that will induce any high to other levels (“Trippin,” “Blaze of Glory,” “Let The Rainfall” and “Where I’m Going”)

We are amped on this record and cant wait to share it with you. We feel that this is a timeless record that will be played for years to come. Stay tuned for photos and video clips from the making of the Green Album.
