The Kottonmouth Kings are proud to be “13 years in the game and still wreaking havoc.”
That’s because the Orange County band is known for its infectious blend of musical genres. The Kings are also gaining note for their Suburban Noize record label and unique clothing line.
It’s been four long years since the Kottonmouth Kings last played the Fox Theatre, but the band will remedy that situation with its Monday night concert.
“We’ve been playing for 13 years now. We really do it for the love of it,” frontman Daddy X said. “We all love punk, rock, reggae and hip-hop, so we meld all those influences into one sound.
“People say we remind them of Sublime.”
The Kottonmouth Kings are currently touring with their brand-new CD The Green Album.
“We definitely wanted to plant the seeds of freedom, hope and inspiration on this album,” Daddy X said. “There should be a world without the borders of religion and politics.”
Serious themes aside, the Kottonmouth Kings plan to bring their musical dance party to the Fox.
“We’re going to bring a lot of bands from our record label to the show,” Daddy X said. “We want people to have a good time and we want to host a really good party.”
