Crazy times we live in, the crashing of the economy, our planet in peril, the war, the elections and on October 28, 2008, the release of the Kottonmouth Kings tenth studio release to date, The Green Album!! We hope everyone is surviving out there.  We have been screaming for a change in the system for years!!   Its the illusion of ownership, its take what you can get, the banks are the loan sharks and everyone’s in debt…and if you get ahead, how quickly you forget, your hanging from a burning rope without a safety net!!!!

What’s up kings and queens,

It has been a busy summer here in the Kottonmouth kingdom! We just finished putting the final touches on “The Green Album,” the street date is October 28, 2008. We feel this is our best work to date, 21 songs songs of royal goodness! We are doing a variety of special pre-order packages surrounding the release of the kings tenth studio full length, this is such a monumental release for the Kings, the tenth studio full length! We have all been thru so much together as a group and a community, we have together created such a powerful underground movement and we can’t thank you enough for being a part of it and enabling the Kings and Sub Noize to be able to live out our dreams…we are amazed at the size of this underground movement! If you were lucky enough to catch any of the Strange Noize shows, you know the complete mayhem and magnitude of it! Together we have created a history that nobody can deny or take away…we are calling our record The Green Album, due to several reasons…number one is that KMK has been all about the green since day one! We also realize the state of our planet and as citizens of the planet we will be donating a portion of profits from “The Green Album” to non-profit enviromental causes. They call us outcasts, misfits, stoners, loadies, but together we can and will make a difference! Stay down for the krown, we hope to see you at a show…spread the good word…The Green Album is coming…\

Daddy X here chilin in Southern Cali. It’s mid summer and we are in the thick of recording the “GREEN ALBUM” our 10th studio full length. We really wanted to make a statement about who we are, what we are about and the kind of impact we wanted to leave as our legacy.

We have been thinking Green our whole life and it seems as though the rest of the world is finally catching up…which of course we are stoked about any awareness and rise of consciousness. It is shocking that it takes disasters, wars and a recession to wake up.

We are going to be donating a % of every record sold/downloaded to a variety of non profit agencies. We are also going to be producing a “Think Green” line of merch that will contribute to the same organizations. We are trying to do our part and are offering you the opportunity to do yours.

We know that as artists, we need to lead the way by example and that we have such a unique and amazing community built around Sub Noize and The Kings that we can paint the White House Green!

Over the years we have all shared so many amazing times together and we hope to continue on into the future. Since no one is guaranteed tomorrow, we need to take action today.

Musically we have really dived deeper than we have before. We are pushing ourselves to higher levels and started digging into this record 4 months. To date, we have close to 100 songs to choose from. We have some earth shaking bangers, “Rock Like This,” “Green Grass,” “Don’t Give A Fuck,” and a few songs that should disturb the peace and some stoney, mellow, outlaw riding cuts that will bring the peace.

Lyrically we have written some freedom songs of truth and inspiration “Stand,” “Free World,” “Pack Your Bowls,” “High Hopes” and “Super Hero” to name a few.

Tech N9ne dropped by the studio and we did a track called “Sex Toy” which is sure to be an instant classic. We also have some Pink Floyd hip hop shit that will induce any high to other levels (“Trippin,” “Blaze of Glory,” “Let The Rainfall” and “Where I’m Going”)

We are amped on this record and cant wait to share it with you. We feel that this is a timeless record that will be played for years to come. Stay tuned for photos and video clips from the making of the Green Album.
