These will be the last Kottonmouth Kings shows for 2005! We arrived safely back home from a very intense and extremely successful "Supporting Radical Habits" tour, it took us coast to coast across this great land... We want to thank everyone for spending their time and hard earned money with the Kottonmouth Kings!!!! Once again we are humbled and grateful for having such an amazing group individuals that support and follow this band. We had first time fans that are just discovering the Kings to old school fans that have been down with the krown since day one and every stage in between... We are seeing all types of people from all walks of life, younger brothers and sisters coming with their older brothers and sisters, friends turning friends on to the kings, we met a lot of military who shared their, experiences from the middle east, we had students and drop-outs punks and hiphopheads, deadheads and hippies and skaters, juggalos and every other stereotype you can imagine... We were reminded every night how blessed we are to be able to unify people and celebrate the gift of life and music.....the underground movement that surrounds the Kottonmouth Kings and Suburban Noize family exists completely outside the mainstream music framework, it exists thru word of mouth!! Your loyal support of this group is the sole reason we are still playing shows and making records ten years later!!! Together we have created one of the most radical underground movements in America... Thank you for being part of it and sharing this amazing experience... We started the tour with a string of sold out hometown shows one at the Galaxy in Orange County and back to back nights at the Key Club on the Sunset Strip... of course it is always great seeing friends and playing at home, but these shows also create the biggest headaches because everybody is somebody and they all want and expect VIP treatment that we just cant give. It is hard to make every one happy... so lets move on. Next show was a sold out show at the House of Blues in Vegas. "Off the Hook" Sin City is always a fun stop, its Big B's hometown. He pretty much is the mayor so he always has the after parties lined up, you're sure to see the sun come up in the desert sky but that means its bus call and we had to be on stage at 420 the next day at a Skinnie magazine show at the University of Redlands. The show had punk legends Bad Religion, and Pepper as well as a freestyle moto expo... fun day, off to Frisco. Slim's in Frisco was sold out... great vibe. Frisco took a long time to build so it feels great to be accepted with so much love in Northern Cali... Next stop: Pacific Northwest. Portland and Seattle, always good buds, and vibes... Over to Boisie which is a sleeper stop always a great show. Next day we were in Salt Lake City we did a fun in-store and an intense show, there is such raw energy in Salt Lake from all the religious oppression... The kids are bananas!!! Off to the mile high city Denver, the first city to decriminalize marijuana. It is legal for an adult over 21 to legally posses an ounce for personal use. Finally some commonsense... The Ogdeon Theatre was sold out, great fans in Colorado, we always feel at home here. Next stop, Fargo, North Dakota, Playmakers. They just renovated the place new stage, lights and sound the fans are great, and my wife's family is from North Dakota so we always see lots of friends and family... show was off the hook... We are finally getting into the full swing of doing shows. We had a long lay off with D-Loc's foot injury, he seems to be improving with every show... Halloween night we spent in Omaha, Nebraska, one of our best markets in the country. We did an in-store that had hundreds and hundreds of kings and queens goin nuts... We did a TV interview that day and an after party the show was sold out weeks in advance and was off the hook... At the after party that night, there was a group of guys surrounding us singing every lyric to every song turns out they were all cops who were huge fans... what a mind fuck!!! They were really cool guys, we even got them tickets to the Kansas City show... Next show we hooked up with Tech9 in his hometown. We didn't get to do the whole set but it was a great show playin' with Tech and the strange music family. This was also the day Blaze Ya Dead Homie joined the tour... He is a Psychopathic artist. We had a great time having their crew on board... nothin but love. Next stop was The Quest in Minneapolis always great shows in Minnesota, we beat the snow every where we went. St. Louis, Pop's was packed to the gills and goin off, next stop, Grand Rapids, one of the smaller shows... about 600 diehards but we had a great night... Off to Cincinnati, Bogarts, packed out on a Tuesday night, off the hook. Did I say we have the greatest fans in the world????? Next night we were in Columbus, Ohio the first time back since Dimebag Darrell was murdered. We dedicated the show to his legacy. As I write this, it is the one year anniversary of his death... It is also the anniversery of John Lennon's death. It reminds me of some simple words... "Give peace a chance." Next stop, the windy city, Chicago. We started the day at 7am, doin a live set on the Mancow Show. It is a nationally syndicated radio show. I'm sure it sounded like hell. We were barely awake not to mention our voices. Any how they were really funny and it was worth waking up that early. That night we played a sold out show at the House of Blues. Chi Town is always off the chain... Next stop, Detroit, the Motor City. We did an in-store during the day then played a sold out St. Andrews Hall show, lots of love. Off to Pittsburg, we played Mr. Small's Theatre for the first time... sold out. We could have used a bigger P.A. in PA but fun show nonetheless... Next night we were in Cleveland, sold out show. We hooked up with Pennywise after the show, they were in town doing a show. We hung out late nite, then we were off to Boston. Tuesday night in Boston, sold out, Avalon Ballroom, one of our favorite places to play, great fans. Richter had out some Patriots, pro football players who came and represented for the krown... Hartford, Connecticut was the next show then B.B. Kings in New York City... fun night lots of interviews and press that day. Off to the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. Sold out show. This was another market that took a long time to establish. I thought it was our best show yet in Philly... Off to Townson, which is outside DC in the Baltimore area, sold out. Great fans the Rechter Theater. They always treat the artists great. This was a special day also because Anna Rose, my wife, and Sky Blue flew in to join us. We love having a family vibe on the road, it makes traveling a lot easier. The next day on the way to Lancaster. I wound up in the emergency room with a kidney stone. I thought my appendix was gonna burst, I was in excruciating pain. I spent the day shot up with morphine and on IVs. I thought the tour was over... I somehow managed to go from the hospital to the stage without missing a show. It was a difficult week to say the least, by the time we got down to Florida. I was starting to feel a little better we spent Thanksgiving in Daytona Beach. I took Sky to the Nickolodeon Hotel, she had a blast. We had some great shows down in Florida, dropped the girls off and went to Texas... Texas is always fun! Shows in Houston, Austin, and Dallas. Next stop was the worst stop on tour, Oklahoma City. We were booked into a place called The Green Room that treated our band and the fans worse than anyplace we have played. On top of that, they got funny with the money when it came time to settle out. The night ended with two drunk cowboys spillin out of the bar next door brawling in front of our bus as the crew was loading out. It ended with the owner of the Green Room threatining to call the cops in to run us out of town. The Taxman is from Oklahoma so it made it even worse. We apologize to any fans who got treated like shit... Next stop, the last night of tour, Albuquerque, New Mexico. What a great place to end, the fans are amazing, sold out show, home sweet home!!!! Once again thanks for coming out! Joint Venture is out we are finishing up "Koast to Koast" the next KMK full length... we have shows coming in December, 16th - Bakersfield, 17th - San Diego at the new House of Blues, 29th at the Ventura Theatre, 30th at the Vault 350 in Long Beach, look for Daddy X "Family Ties" Revolutionary Sounds of Freedom, Jan. 31st along with One Session "DJ Bobby B Presents: The Hidden Treasures" the same day.
